Is love all that matters?
The rain was pouring.
It was just the morning.
Yet he has already succumbed to the thoughts he wished was not coming again.
His eyes were staring at the window.
The window…
He was hoping it would show him something he’s seen in his mind.
But there were just the raindrops.
Did she ever mean it?
The memories kept popping up in his mind.
All those memories…
He’s seen just the sweet ones. The nice ones. The passionate ones.
He didn’t see what he wasn’t willing to admit to himself.
The only thing he’s seen now was…that she wasn’t there anymore.
In his mind, they were still a couple.
But he knew she moved on. A long time ago.
Did she ever mean it?
He was thinking about marriage and a family. A family…
The anger suddenly fogged his mind. He knew she loved him…she was helping him so much…
But since it didn’t last, he was in doubt.
Is love all? He asked himself.
Is love all that matters?
There certainly was love…
But does the love of two adults…need more than that?
Was I betrayed since I was a kid?
I told her I loved her…and I felt it was the most I could give…the most I could say…
And she…
Said nothing.
She said it was over.
She said love was important, but it’s not the only thing that matters.
A tear appeared at the corner of his eye.
If not love…what then?
He kept watching the rain.
All those raindrops…that he now felt on his cheeks too.
